Daniel studied fine art and woodworking in London, New York and Toronto. While finishing his formal education at the Ontario College of Art and Design he received numerous awards and scholarships.

Since graduating in 1990, he has run his own business Franklin Custom Carpentry and has written for and been featured in décor and woodworking magazines.

Daniel has been on several design/décor television shows and presently can be seen each week as the featured carpenter on HGTV’s Home To Stay.

He lives and works in Toronto.
